Woodsense strengthens its Scandinavian expansion by establishing a sales department in Norway

Woodsense, a Copenhagen-based tech startup, recently announced an investment round of €350K (DKK 2.6 million) aiming at promoting the green transition in the construction industry.

With the increasing interest from Scandinavian countries, including Norway, the startup has recently established an independent sales department in Norway. As part of the Scandinavian expansion, the goal is to increase timber used in construction.

“We are experiencing great interest from both Swedish and Norwegian construction companies who already possess in-depth expertise with building timber. For that reason, in addition to consolidating Woodsense on the Danish market, we will scale further in the Nordic markets in 2022, including Norway, where we have recently established a sales department.”

Jeppe Rasmussen, CEO, and founder of Woodsense says

“I did not expect to enter the construction industry, but I have always dreamed of starting something from scratch that can create a positive impact and make the world more sustainable. The vision behind Woodsense is to minimize the waste of resources and promote the use of timber in construction.”

Founded in 2019, the startup uses IoT sensors to monitor humidity and detect damages for tree builders and building owners, and helps reduce wasted resources in the construction industry.
