1Password
1Password first disclosed it had achieved unicorn status when it closed $100-million USD in 2021. The Toronto-based password management company is now on the hunt for a manager of SMB sales to lead its team of SMB account executives, responsible for generating new B2B revenue for the company. This team will be responsible for managing the inbound funnel, as well as prospecting into 1Password’s ideal customer profile to generate new business.
Successful candidates will have three years of experience in leading new business sales teams, or relevant experience with B2B prospecting, recruiting, hiring, and a track record of success in sales leadership within a SaaS or B2B organization.
The annual base salary for this role is between $96,000 and $130,000 CAD, and the successful candidate will have immediate access to 1Password’s benefits program. 1Password is hiring for many other positions on its job board, which can be found here.
Trulioo
Trulioo officially attained unicorn status in June after it raised $476 million CAD in a TCV-led Series D funding round. The Vancouver-based identity tech startup is currently seeking a manager of global sales development.
This individual will be responsible for leading, building, and scaling Trulioo’s global sales development representative (SDR) team located in Vancouver and Dublin, Ireland. Those interested should have a minimum of two years in SDR or sales management in a B2B environment, as well as strong communication, leadership, and prospecting skills.

Shopify
One of Canada’s oldest ubiquitous tech companies, Shopify crossed the unicorn threshold in 2013. The e-commerce juggernaut is currently seeking a senior sales representative for its retail division.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to identify and target potential customers, clearly articulating Shopify’s value proposition, developing and executing sales strategies, as well as sourcing, building, and managing a sales pipeline.
Applicants must have at least six years’ experience in a sales role, with a strong sales track record. Previous experience selling point-of-sale systems to retail sectors is a bonus.
