Daze, a Helsinki-based startup based in Helsinki, recently raised pre-seed funding from investors such as Antler and Wave Ventures. The Finnish startup focuses on streamlining the online returns experience by offering a service that collects items directly from customers’ homes, bypassing the need for packaging or labels. The funding injection will support the company in expanding its team, advancing its product development efforts, and moving closer to its vision of becoming the go-to shipping solution for direct-to-consumer brands.
Daze was founded in November 2023 by tech and logistics experts Joose Toiviainen and Ilkka Rosenberg. The company aims to revolutionize the online shopping experience by simplifying the returns process. Daze offers a unique no-packaging, no-label return service that picks up items directly from consumers’ doorsteps, eliminating the hassle traditionally associated with returns. By partnering with retailers on a B2B2C basis, Daze provides a seamless returns experience for customers, leading to higher average order values and customer lifetime values for retailers. With a commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction, Daze is poised to become a leader in e-commerce logistics.
“Our product addresses the pain points of traditional return processes. Retailers partner with us on a B2B2C basis, to provide the smoothest returns for their customers. By acknowledging the struggles of the end customer, retailers see direct benefits such as higher average order values, which translates to elevated customer lifetime values. On the supply side, inventory turnover is remarkably higher and consolidated return shipping brings instant cost savings.” says co-founder, Ilkka Rosenberg, whose vast experience includes ramping up operations for the online grocer Oda in Finland.
