Helsinki-based Vendep Capital took to the chance to expand its investments thanks to its third fund. Finnish venture capital firm already showed interests in there companies. The fund is worth 70 million euros which brings the company two of its firsts. For the first time, Vendep invests in a Swedish company and B2B marketplace in Finland.
Swedish company My Telescope provides a smarter approach to marketing with its tools to analyze how the internet responds to a brand and then use that data to become more proactive and agile, and more delightful for the customers. Other two investments of the company are into two Finnish company, myPlane and Trustmary.
The former is Vendep’s first B2B marketplace investment in Finland. It is marketplace for airlines and travel agencies and helps digitizing the charter flight enquiries, sales and management processes globally, and linking the airline supply with demand. The latter one helps businesses to gather testimonials and optimize results for better conversion rates. Trustmary is also the first investment of the company since they announced the third fund.

“With our third fund, we are expanding our investments both geographically and also covering early seed. Additionally, we are now investing also in SaaS enabled B2B marketplaces, first one being myPlane,“ notes Sakari Pihlava, General Partner of Vendep.
Vendep’s third EUR 70M fund has already invested in three companies that are revolutionizing markets, for which the investment by a SaaS expert brings significant added value. Three very promising seed-stage SaaS companies, one in Sweden and two in Finland, have started their journey with Vendep Capital.
The Swedish company My Telescope brings a revolution to marketing analytics with their Share of Search based SaaS solution that discovers, measures and predicts market trends, brand strength, and marketing campaign effectiveness in near real time.
“The brainstorming sessions with Jupe Arala and Sami Ahvenniemi’s commitment to actively help us have been of great value. Sami’s knowledge of the market and his connections in the U.S. are making our market entry easier,” says My Telescope’s CSO Frederique Pirenne.
Even before the product was finalized, Vendep recognized the huge potential of myPlane. myPlane is a much in demand, first-in-the-world, digital marketplace for enquiring, selling, and managing charter flights. The service connects the demand for both airlines to utilize excess capacity and travel agencies to find available charter planes for their clients.

Trustmary is the first investment from its new fund. Trustmary launched its first SaaS product in the Autumn of 2020 and is now quickly growing to become a leading testimonial marketing platform.
