Norwegian PropTech Consigli raises €1,9M

Norwegian PropTech startup Consigli raised a total of NOK 19 million (€ 1,9M), just one year after its inception. The company is building a data-driven platform for the real estate industry. AB Invest and Møller Eiendom Norge are leading the financing  round, in addition to a number of other high-profile players, also contributing capital to further scale growth.

Consigli founder Janne Aas-Jakobsen, civil engineer in construction by trade, has been part of the construction and real estate industry for almost 25 years and has been involved with creating better quality and profitability with technology in all her roles.

It is fantastic to see what has happened in this area in Norway in recent years. We know the real estate industry well, and know that it is important that we develop closely with the great players we have here at home, she says and points out that other investors have industry backgrounds from Neptune Property, Entra, Statsbygg, Betonmast, Rejlers and the construction industry.

The company is building a data-driven platform for the real estate industry. After buying, logging and storing data in huge quantities for many years, artificial intelligence and mathematical optimization can now provide quick decision-making, Aas-Jakobsen explains. The service is called “Self-engineering engineers”; an analogy to self-driving cars.

We develop service for service that gives builders data-driven insight for their decisions, says the entrepreneur and adds: ‘Eventually we will design better buildings than the human engineers. Buildings that use less energy, require less materials and deliver better for those who will use the buildings to live, learn, do business or get well’ she says.
