Sweden’s women-led startup Hypertype has secured 1.15 million euros in a pre-seed funding round led by Luminar Ventures with the participation of many other investors including Singapore-based VC firm Antler, Sting from Sweden, and its investment arm Propel Capital. The round also attracted angel investors including Charlotte Söderhjelm, Fredrik Olsson, Peggy Poon, Siddharth Khullar, Marcus Böstrom, and Christian Backman. The company will benefit from the capital to further the development of its tool for machine-to-human conversations.
The Stockholm-based company was founded in 2021 by Teenie Fung and Beatrice Baltscheffsky. The AI/ML-powered platform is built on Natural Language Process (NLP) and offers ready-to-use smart sales communications. With the help of the tool integrated into the email, it goes through the inboxes of the team in the sales of the company using the tool. Then from the data gathered, it suggests custom responses for the related email or/and email chain with a client.
“11 months ago, Teenie Fung and I met for the first time and shared our frustration at how difficult it was to find the right information when writing emails. This was the start of Hypertype.co where we use machine learning and NLP (Natural Language Processing) to give you the information you need in no time!” says Beatrice Baltscheffsky, Co-Founder at Hypertype.
