Founded in 2019, Woodsense has completed a round of investment of € 350.000 (2.6 million DKK) with the aim of strengthening its presence as well as further expansion in the Scandinavian markets. The investment round came from several investors, including Keystones and DanBAN.
“We are experiencing a vast interest from both the Swedish and Norwegian construction industry who already have notable experience building in timber. In addition to consolidating Woodsense on the Danish market, in 2022, we intend to scale Woodsense on the other Nordic markets, where we can see great potential for sensor technology.” says Jeppe Rasmussen, founder and CEO of Woodsense
The Copenhagen-based startup provides an IoT sensor that prevents moisture damage in time and saves any damage for tress producers and building owners, thus helping reduce resource waste in the construction industry.
