Finnish marketing platform raises €7M Series A for expansion

Helsinki-based startup Boksi recently secured €7 million in a Series A funding round, with leading contributions from 3TS Capital Partners and Nexit Ventures, along with existing investors Trind Ventures, Aikainen Ventures, Business Finland and some angel investors. The startup acts as a bridge between social media influencers and brands, providing a platform where brands can easily request images, videos, and influencer marketing content directly from content creators. This funding will help Boksi expand its operations in the Central European market, with a specific focus on Germany and the broader DACH region.

Boksi, founded in 2018, operates an influencer marketing and content creation platform. They facilitate connections between social media influencers and brands through their online platform. Brands can use Boksi to order various types of content, including images, videos, and influencer marketing campaigns, directly from content creators. The recent acquisition of Monochrome, a Finnish platform, enhances Boksi’s capabilities. Boksi is actively seeking acquisition targets in Germany to accelerate its growth in this market and is recognized as a tech-savvy player in the fast-growing influencer marketing sector.

“We’ve built a platform that improves the efficiency of working with the creator economy tremendously,” says Boksi CEO Lasse Laaksonen as he scopes out potential acquisition targets in Germany to fast-track Boksi’s growth in the region.

“With the influencer marketing landscape expanding rapidly, it’s the technology-forward players, like Boksi, who have the competitive edge and are poised to dominate the market,” says Pekka Mäki, Managing Partner at 3TS Capital Partners.
